The course.
The marathon and half marathon start together at Congress and Fannin and follow the same route until mile 7.6, where the half marathon splits off. The finish area is at the George R. Brown Convention Center, which also handles gear check and post-race services. Both courses are USATF-certified, with water and Gatorade every 1.5 miles from mile 2. The marathon has a six-hour limit (13:45 per mile) and the half marathon a four-hour limit (18:18 per mile). The Saturday 5K starts at McKinney and Crawford in corral waves between 8:00 and 8:30 AM, and its course closes at 10:00 AM.
