2027 Bank of America Chicago 13.1.
A half marathon through the parks and boulevards of Chicago's West Side, starting and finishing in Garfield Park, in its sixth year in 2027. It holds a World Athletics Label and is one of the three Chicago Distance Series races, alongside the Shamrock Shuffle and the Chicago Marathon.

The course.
The race starts on Central Park Avenue in Garfield Park, loops through Humboldt and Douglass Parks, and finishes on Madison Street back in Garfield Park. Eight aid stations sit roughly one to two miles apart, with water and Nuun Endurance. Runners must finish within 3 hours 15 minutes, about a 15-minute mile. The wheelchair division starts at 6:50 AM, ten minutes before the open race.

Getting there.
Packet pickup is on Friday, June 4 (10:00 AM to 7:00 PM) and Saturday, June 5 (9:00 AM to 4:00 PM); the location has not been announced yet. Gear check opens at 5:30 AM near the start in Garfield Park. Garfield Park is served by the CTA Green Line at Conservatory-Central Park, the Blue Line at Pulaski-Congress, and the #20 and #126 buses. The day before, the free West Side Wellness Fest in Garfield Park has a community shakeout run, a 1.31-mile walk and youth races.
